I’ve just been reading five steps on how to quickly and easily improve your blog (via MJ Ray). I think that I have managed to do most of them, though perhaps not optimally. Hopefully I’ll find time to improve soon, and redesign the whole site while I’m at it.

Yes, it is good simple advice for the most part. I doubt it is possible to ever have the optimal blog - every feature you add makes things more cluttered.
One thing about these lists of improvements: most of them assume your readers are visiting your blog’s web page. I only visit a blog via the web once - if I like it I’ll subscribe to the web feed. After that, design improvements and pages explaining RSS will pass me by!
